How to switch to console

  1. Press Ctrl+Alt+F3 to switch to console
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+F7 to switch back to UX

How to ssh

SSH server is enabled after system start up,so you can switch to console to check IP address then connect it with ssh client tool

Install package with zypper

There is a know issue of zypper is TIVI-335 and just use the workaround below

$ zypper search | grep fuzzy_match_name_of_package

How to connect WiFi

Home Screen-->Settings-->Wi-Fi-->On, it will scan wireless networks automatically,then you can connect network you want

Workaround of screen rotation

  1. Switch to console and log in to system
  2. Modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/60-cando-evdevmultitouch.conf: Option "Rotate" "left"-->"normal"

About Virtual keyboard

Virtual keyboard can be launched automatically when you are ready to input, but the precondition is that there is no any keyboard (for example, USB keyboard) connected.

Enable Dual display on NDiS 166

  1. Connect second monitor via HDMI or DVI and power up the device
  2. Check the monitor information with xrandr and you can get information like this 'VGA1 connected 1024x1280+0+0' or 'HDMI3 connected 1920x1080+0+0'
    xrandr -q
  3. Modify /etc/X11/xorg.conf referring to below content for clone mode,for extend mode configuration is just remove the #

How to install/run/remove Tizen App

  1. Copy Tizen App(.wgt) to IVI device
  2. Use the following command to install
    wrt-installer -i Name_of_App.wgt
  3. Get app ID with the following command
    wrt-launcher -l
  4. Run app from UX, or with the following command
    wrt-client -l ID_of_App
  5. Remove app from UX(Settings->More system settings->Manage applications), or with the following command
    wrt-installer -u ID_of_App
